No matter what your career choice, knowledge of a foreign language gives you an advantage. Learning about other cultures will help you expand your personal horizons. The People to People Student Ambassador Program is an organization based in Spokane, Washington, that offers educational international travel opportunities to elementary, middle, and high school students. The program itself is not non-profit, however it is one of the sponsored programs of People to People International which is a non-profit organization. The mission of this program is to “promote peace through understanding,” in the words of Dwight D. Eisenhower. (more…)

The Grand Canyon National Park is one of the United States’ oldest national parks and is located in northern Arizona. Within the park lies the Grand Canyon, a gorge of the Colorado River, considered to be one of the major natural wonders of the world. The Grand Canyon is a massive rift in the Colorado Plateau that exposes uplifted Proterozoic and Paleozoic strata and is also one of the six distinct physiographic sections of the Colorado Plateau province. This is a question asked time and time again because it is so important to truly comprehend that sense of family.  Through family we find ourselves as we give and receive support. Family brings out the best and worst in each of us. As we yield to and serve others we learn to love them and ourselves in the process. Many of us could never approach this form of selflessness in any other way. There is something about a mother or a father, a son or a daughter. Education impacts on human development and economic growth, and it is a fundamental requirement for democracy. Education is vital and essential for economic development and eradicating poverty. It allows people to be more productive, to play a greater role in economic life, and to earn a better living. An adult with a primary education earns twice as much as an adult without any schooling.
